For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the LORD, plans for your welfare, not for woe – plans to give you a future full of hope. When you call me, when you go to pray to me, I will listen to you. When you look for me, you will find me. Yes, when you seek me with all your heart, you will find me with you, says the LORD, and I will change your lot...

Jeremiah 29:11-14

Research Interests

Fr. John is currently working on a text for use in Salesian lay and religious formation entitled Salesian Spirituality and Chastity: An Examination of Salesian Chastity and Maturity with portions to be published in forthcoming issues of Journal of Salesian Studies. Combing through the work of Wendy M. Wright, Fr. Joseph Boenzi, Fr. Arthur Lenti and other similar authors. He is also working on a “Salesian Christology” and hopes to link such a study to the relevance of a Salesian Spirituality and understanding of Christ for the youth of the world today. Fr. John often writes articles for the Catholic Voice in Oakland.
